Demonstration Track

The demonstration track provides a platform for exchanging ideas between theory and practice, but also for showcasing innovative applications of AI techniques to real- world problems. A novelty has been introduced this year: authors can choose to demonstrate their works in two (non-exclusive) presentation modes: at demonstration booths or in demo talks. Thanks to the current popularity of AI, the demonstration track has attracted nearly twice as many submissions this year than previous years, which promises some exciting demonstrations such as, to cite a few and in no particular order, an instructor for DIY projects, a visual storytelling platform, a poacher detection system using UAVs, a decision support system that can generate alternative future scenarios, a search engine to present balanced news, a decision support system for city infrastructure maintenance, a wearable device for ECG monitoring, a web application for reporting YouTube hate speech, or a mobile platform for the recognition of daily-life activities. Please check the conference program for the complete list of demonstrations and the detailed schedule. Another novelty this year is that a best demonstration award will be announced at the end of the demo talks.
